Dauntless Transmissions

My wife's car had a sudden transmission failure while out doing local errands. The 'car care' shop recommended a complete transmission replacement was needed at an exorbitant cost. I called Gil at Dauntless Transmissions and had the vehicle towed there. He and Max verified the failure and were able to source a manufacturer re-manufactured unit. They were able to make the repairs and get the car back on the road within one week and much less than the car care shop wanted. I can't recommend Dauntless Transmission enough.

We've been taking our vehicles to Gill and Max for over 20 years. Our '97 Jeep becomes a puzzle that they take on with care! They've always been dependable, reliable, honest, and fair. We never have to worry about unnecessary repairs—they take the time to explain what's needed, communicate clearly throughout the process, and always treat us with respect. It's hard to find a mechanic you can truly trust, and that's exactly what you'll find here. Their quality of work and integrity have kept us coming back for two decades. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for an honest, skilled, and trustworthy mechanic. We'll never go anywhere else!

Hands down one of the best experiences I’ve had with Auto Mechanics in a long time. Had an emergency need - Dauntless got me right in assessed the issue and was able to fix it in the next day. After giving me a quote turned out that some of the items listed were not needed so they didn’t charge me. That’s huge. When it was time to pick up my truck, they went through work performed and patiently answered all my questions. Great experience - thank you Gil and Max

I was referred to Dauntless by my mechanic because at a routine oil change the oil change chain that I used, drained the transmission fluid from my Subaru which has a CVT transmission, instead of draining my oil like they were supposed to. Gil thoroughly checked out my transmission, sent me pictures of everything, and even labeled the bolts on the bottom of my car so it's dummy proofed. Gil gave me a thorough report to take to my lawyer, gave me clear information, and educated me on how my transmission was damaged. He is a very kind man, very honest, and he knows what he is doing. This whole situation has been a nightmare but Gil and his team have been so patient and kind through it all. I completely trust Dauntless and would send anyone I know to him for help.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I cannot say enough great things about Dauntless Transmissions and the incredible service I received from Gil. After my Ford dealership told me I needed over $8,000 worth of major transmission work on my car — which only has 61,000 miles on it — I was devastated and skeptical. I brought my car to Dauntless for a second opinion. Gil was everything you hope for in a mechanic: kind, knowledgeable, honest, and genuinely trustworthy. He took the time to thoroughly evaluate my car, walked me through exactly what he found, and gave me straight answers — no upselling, no scare tactics, just the truth. It turned out the dealership had given me completely false information. In a world where it can be hard to know who to trust with your vehicle, Dauntless Transmissions is the real deal. Gil saved me thousands of dollars and gave me total peace of mind. I will never take my car anywhere else, and I recommend Dauntless Transmissions to absolutely everyone. Thank you, Gil!
